With only five rental cabins and two residential cabins on the property, you can be assured of a very rare and exclusive vacation experience. We offer weekly rentals only - no exceptions.
Sheltered Lakes is the perfect setting for a reunion, family getaway with your dog, romantic interlude, or simply respite from the hubbub of modern life. For over 60 years, our family has provided our guests with a retreat experience reminiscent of a simpler, less demanding era.
Each of our charming antique cabins is unique. All of our one- and two-bedroom cabins have beautiful distinctive views of the forest, lake and surrounding Adirondack Mountains. All have a full kitchen, bathroom with a shower, charcoal grill, private picnic area, fireplace (with firewood provided at no additional cost) and exclusive use of a rowboat free of charge. With no television, telephones or internet, it is a great opportunity to disconnect from the stresses of modern life.
Relax in your own special way…fish, swim, snorkel, hike, row a boat, paddle a canoe, float on the lake, laze in an Adirondack chair, read a book, stare at the stars or into a crackling fire and enjoy the relaxing sounds of nature around you.
Our cabins are 15-50 feet from the water providing amazing lake and mountain views, and each has private lake access.
Features: full kitchen, living room with futon and fireplace, and gas heat for cooler weather.
The lakes & cabins are located in the center of our property, resulting in a very quiet, “back to nature” experience.
Our property encompasses 400 private acres of well-managed forestland surrounded by the Adirondack State Park.
